- RFK Jr. and Trump made false claims about vaccine safety at press conference — At a press conference, Trump and RFK Jr. claimed that childhood vaccines cause autism and that the combined MMR vaccine is lethal and the size of a soda bottle. RFK Jr. stated the CDC website is "outdated" when confronted with CDC data showing no scientific evidence for separating the MMR vaccine. When asked about the soda-bottle claim, RFK Jr. deflected by saying "people make their own assessment." These claims contradict established scientific consensus and CDC guidance.
